We did a practice launch on Saturday but nothing appeared on the MSU database at the time. We also use a redundant APRS tracker and were able to follow the payload with that.
The problem resolved itself at some point because we have data after the payload hit the ground but before we picked it up. When we found the payload, the GPS light was on, but not the iridium light, even after being oriented up and left on for several minutes. I checked the antenna connections but they seemed solid, and there's no sign of damage to the unit.
This is an important component so I'm really trying to understand if it was a hardware problem on our end, or something at the MSU database, or something at the Iridium network.
