I'm having trouble connecting to the video raspberry pi through bitvise. I follow the instructions in this video but it gives me a "flowsocketerror" code 10060. I hooked the raspberry pi up to a monitor to make sure it could boot up and log in properly and I'm able to get in and run the stream_video script.

Have you set your ip to a static ip?
If you type in ipconfig to your command prompt what does your Ethernet Ip address say it is?
can you ping the Pi using: ping 192.168.1.3 in command prompt?

We are having similar issues. We have static IP set up, but when we ping 192.168.1.3 we get:
Reply from 192.168.1.2: Destination host unreachable Request t to VLC?imed out. Request timed out. Request timed out.
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 1, Lost = 3.
Could you help me interpret what this means? I assume this inability to connect to the pi is why our video won't connect to VLC?

How far away is the payload in thsi senario?
Are the modems pariing up?
Are you using your own laptop or the one that was distrubuted.
When you look at your adapters do you have multiple ethernet adapters?

Lenegene, we are encountering the same problem as you were. Did you ever find out how to fix this?
Skylar MSGC: Our payload is about 100 ft away from us and the ground station.
The modems are pairing up.
We are using the laptop that was distributed to us.
We have just one LAN line from the laptop to the POE connector then to the modem.
Any idea as to what may be causing this?
