I was following the update instructions for the groundstation ubiquiti modem, and after uploading the cfg file, I could no longer connect to the modem. The guide says that 192.168.1.31 should work, but neither that nor 192.168.1.20 work. Not really sure how to troubleshoot this

We are having a very similar issue. After updating the settings on the groundstation ubiquit modem, we could no longer connect to 192.168.1.20. We can directly plug the computer in to the LAN of the payload modem and still nothing.
We are still able to log in to the ground station at 192.168.1.31 (which used to be 192.168.1.20 before the update). Our modems are also no longer connecting to each other.

Upon multiple retries, we found that we are able to work with the groundstation modem after the update, but we are having trouble on the payload side. After updating the cfg file, we can no longer connect to the payload m5 at any of the possible addresses. Does resetting the modem get rid of the configuration saved to the modem? Does the payload modem change to some new ip address not given to us? In our current state, the modems do not pair.
It is very frustrating, because we have planned to test fly tomorrow, and our system worked before the update. Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated!

We had a similar issue after changing the SSID today. Changed the Station first then couldn't access the Access Point. My student hooked the ground station laptop to the LAN port of the payload's occams board (not the powered side going to ubiquiti) and managed to change its SSID. After that everything was good.

What was the ip address you used to connect to the payload ubiquiti post update?

Heads up, everyone, after you update the payload ubiquiti, the IP address becomes 192.168.1.30 (This would have been helpful to include in the video)

What was the ip address you used to connect to the payload ubiquiti post update? I can't recall at the moment, but I believe it was the IP on the sticker attached to the payload modem. My understanding is when accessing the payload modem you do so via the ground station modem so if the ground station ssid is changed first you can't get through there to the payload since ssids don't match. The hard line to occams is probably the only way to get at it if that's what's up with your system. (maybe the reset buttons would do the trick?)

Ground station IP address changes from 192.168.1.20 to 192.168.1.30 Payload IP address changes from 192.168.1.22 to 192.168.168.1.31 SSIDs must be the same for both
I accidentally gave my ground station and payload different SSIDs. So I just logged into the gs modem and changed it to what I had named the payload modem. Didn't have to do anything tricky.
And I had the LAN cord from the payload modem plugged into the POE slot in the power box.
