TO ALL TEAMS. The North Medford team is placing a Geiger counter and other radiation sensors into the upper atmosphere during the eclipse to measure uva, uvb, and gamma radiation. We would like to ask for your assistance in measuring the data during the eclipse on the ground, or even in the air if you would like to put one on your payload. Best of luck!

I'm with the LBCC team in Corvallis, OR. We have room for a lightweight payload so if you just need a ride up we might be able to help. Do you have a specific experiment and parts in mind?

I can mention it to our group here in Montana at MSU, if we do fly a Geiger counter we will send the data your way as well.

We are too planning to measure alpha, beta, and gamma in flight. However, since eclipse is only about two minutes long be sure you are collecting counts per few seconds not per minute, that way you may see some fluctuation during the eclipse and would have more than just one or two data points. What type of counter do you plan fly? Model number? You need to be sure it is able to collect as many data points as you need during the 2 - 3hrs flight...
