Is there a way to temporarily disable antenna tracking with the GS GUI? For example, after calibration, and antenna tracking is enabled, we would like to be able to temporarily stop the automatic tracking using the Iridium position, manually move the dish for testing purposes, and then re-enable tracking again at some point.
Thanks, Sean North Medford High School Black Tornado

One really easy way to disable tracking is to just unplug the power cord going to the maestro controller on the ground station. The servos won't be powered, so they won't turn. (But they will go slack and the dish will 'fall' so you might want to pad the base or catch it.)
If I understand things correctly, the dish gets it's position when you click 'Update settings'. So if you want to physically move the ground station, you'll need to re-click that button before it will update it's position and heading.

If you click on the AutoTracking green word you should be able to disable in the python gui. Since it is singlethreaded it might take a sec, if you do this make sure to use either the Maestro program or the sliders in the GUI to adjust your dish. Never try to move the servos by hand if they're powered, this will end up damaging the servos.

Thanks, we'll give that a try. And yes, we plan to use Maestro to move the dish.
