Anyone else notice a lot of freezing on the stream feed that does not exist in the pi or the ground station? I am using the ffmpeg encode method.
I start up my pi and use the ground station computer to verify that everything is running. Ubiquiti modem is working fine. I have bumped the range from the tight 5mHz width to the 20.40 auto. This bumps my throughput up to about 300mbps for a good connection.
Open up VLC and connect to rtsp://192.168.1.3:8554/ --- everything is running perfectly with no video issues Open a new instance of VLC and open rtsp://localhost:4000/ --- everything is still looking great. There is a slight 2 second lag between the original feed and the localhost feed. makes sense. Open a web browser on a different machine and go to the eclipse.stream.live site and connect to my feed.
When the payload is still, everything looks fine. Once I start moving the payload around/shaking it/twirling it in a figure 8/ just trying to simulate the trop/etc, I start seeing screen tearing and freezing issues that do not occur in the pi or localhost feeds. I am only pushing about 4 mbps from the encoding computer to stream.live. I am by no means taxing the hard wired network link.
