Our Arduino is not showing our GPS location Note: - We did see it before
- Switch is set to SoftSerial
- Arduino code is from code in Arduino code from AntennaTracker_withRFD
Here is sample datastream coming from the Arduino (COM7) ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3 ~,0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00,351.81,-0.56,-5.63,3,3,0,3
How do I debug this? Is there a way to determine if there is a problem with the GPS and/or if we do/don't have a GPS fix?

Looked at Arduino code. It looks like we are stuck in setup() because accel in '0'

There is a fix indicator LED on the GPS unit. It blinks every second if there is no fix, and less frequently (maybe once every 10 seconds) if there is a fix.

Red "FIX" light flashing once every 15 sec. I checked the serial data stream and it is still showing 0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00 for GPS location

I checked the serial data stream and it is still showing 0.0000000,0.0000000,0.00 for GPS location There is a switch on the GPS shield that selects for hardware or software serial. Make sure this switch is in the correct position. To be honest, I'm not sure which position that is for v5 of the arduino code, but GPS data will not get to the arduino if that switch is in the wrong position.

To be honest, I'm not sure which position that is for v5 of the Arduino code, but GPS data will not get to the Arduino if that switch is in the wrong position. That is why I wrote in the original post, "Switch is set to SoftSerial". Everything I have read indicates that it should be set to SoftSerial. I can try switching it; but, I can't do it right now. We called it a day once we resolved the Satellite feed problem. We can work-around this problem by manually typing in the Ground Station GPS Location. That may be the better choice anyway as the Ground Station doesn't move.
