Hey, there. We are having issues with the antenna tracker update. We are going back through the update install very carefully and found a potential issue. We are being picky because we are trying to understand why we are getting a MySQL error when pressing play in Spyder. The GUI is not popping up when we press play. Going through the update again, we remembered that we had to edit a system variable called "path." We had to copy and paste a line of code and add a semicolon to the line. However, our inputs and the video's inputs for editing that code looked VERY different. Here is what our inputs looked like: Here's what the video inputs looked like: We are wondering if this is the issue. Why do our screens look different at this stage? Could this be the issue? Thanks!

1) Note that per the install instructions you launch AntennaTracker from a command prompt / batch file rather than using Spyder 2) The 'path' environment variable is the list of directories the OS will search to find unresolved references. It is modified by pretty much any application you install; so, it will be different for pretty much every PC. The semicolon is used to separate directories.

Thank you! We have confirmed that Python was installed correctly, so this was not our issue.

I would still make sure python is added to your path environment variable. You can check by opening a command prompt and type: python If it is added to your path it will give a message of which version of python is being used and open a python prompt, denoted by >>> If it gives an error saying python is not a recognized command, it is not in your path variables. Depending on which OS you are using will determine how to add python to your path. Your first screen shot there is no path for python The other screen shots cut off of the picture that shows which variables are being edited, there are system variables, environment variables, and others. Make sure you are editing the same ones as in the instructions. Also the newer program does not use SQL anymore unless there is an http timeout, you should not see any SQL related errors unless you do not have an internet connection. Make sure you have internet connection or the http request for balloon location will time out then it will try SQL and since it does not have internet the sQL will error out.
