Would it be possible to get the CAD drawings for the payload boxes that we received at the July Workshop? We also are wondering if Fedex did indeed send you the metal baseplates for the tripod? And could we get one? megger

Checking on CAD drawings and the base plates, and will post update as soon as I have more info.
We would have to recreate the CAD files, there were some CAD files of the payload boxes used in the July workshop but they were edited on the fly by the operator of the laser cutter when they were made which are gcode files, and no longer available. So the CAD files we have now would not match the payload boxes used at the July workshop and don't allow for some of the necessary folds.
Maybe #Micaela or #Dylan S can respond to this?

Re: Rescources Can we get a Word doc version of the Checklist for Payload Powerup and Testing document? We would like to add some missing steps and fix a few mistakes that we have noticed. Thanks!

I would have to check if a word doc was made or could be made. That list was put together by Chris K. in Colorado. It was intended to be a checklist used during the July workshop then someone wanted it to be a pre-flight checklist. My opinion: it is far from a pre-flight checklist, things done during the workshop or in a lab test are way different than an actual flight. I think a new list should be made for a pre-flight checklist and the existing one be used in a lab setting. I will send an email out and post back here when I hear anything.

All instructions were done in power point but we should be able to get that version from Chris Koehler so we can get you an editable version.

In response to the CAD files, the following is a copy of a similar post in an antenna tracker thread: I was informed the eclipse website has all the CAD files too under the "system resources" menu, eclipse.montana.edu/ ,but they are stl files and not CAD files. If you just need to print new parts the stl files are sufficient. If you want to modify or change the part it would be better to have the CAD files. You can convert a stl file to CAD but it does lose some of the data for some CAD features. We are working on getting the CAD files to the web page and the google drive project box. The project box does have a mix of stl and CAD files. There are some under the "BOREALIS laser files" directory and in the "3D printer EBP files" directory.

Both .stl files and .sldprt are now on the ballooning resources page and FAQ page. Thanks for your patience!
